The Red Pyramid By Rick Riordan

The Red Pyramid was amazing!!! I finished it in only four days! It's kinda like Percy Jackson except with a Egyptian twist. it's about these two kids named Carter and Sadie Kane. Carter has been traveling with their dad ever since their mother died. While Sadie has been living in London with their grandparents. Then on Christmas eve Carter and Dad go see Sadie. They go to a museum and their Dad accidentally unleashes some of the gods. Sadie and Carter then go to their Uncle Amos' house and find out that they are the most powerful magicians to be born in a long time. And from there they meet a girl named Zia and try to save all of North America. This is Rick Riordan's best book yet!!!

Fever 1793 By Laurie Halse Anderson

Fever 1793 was the best book that's not in a series I have ever read!!! It's about a girl named Mattie who lives with her mother, grandfather, and cook,Eliza in a coffee shop in Virginia. Then Yellow fever comes along. everyone is trying to head out to the country to stay away from yellow fever but other towns won't let them pass with the fear that they might have yellow fever themselves. Then mattie's mother get's yellow fever and makes them leave to a friend's farm in the country. This the best book ever!!

The Invention Of Hugo Cabret By Brian Selznick

This book is about a kid named Hugo Cabret who's father spent his whole life ting to fix a machine that writes. After he died it was Hugo's job to fix it. Now when his father tried to fix it he made a notebook that said how to fix it because he could fix it except he didn't work while he wrote. So Hugo has been stealing toys for parts from George Melies who runs a toy store. One day George catches Hugo and steals his notebook and says he will go home and burn it, and when George comes back the next day with ashes Hugo isn't so sure it is really gone and with the help of a new friend Hugo just might get it back.

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief movie

The movie of Percy Jackson was based on the book but had a entirely different story line. In this movie instead of getting pearls automatically from Poseidon they had to search for them. I personally think that if you have read the book don't be surprised if you come out of the theater saying "that was absolutely, positively, nothing like the book" When I saw it I had a Friend with me who had also read the books and she agreed with me. But if you hadn't read the books then I find it an awesome movie!
